Discussion Question 3

Welcome back! Please take until Monday night to complete this Blog, sorry it's up so late!

Advanced Peer tutors: I think that all of you have chosen to write books for a student. To make sure that there are no doubles, please tell me who you are going to write for and brainstorm a list of topics that your student would be interested in writing about. REMEMBER: you do not have to do the brochure/pamphlet.

Beginning peer tutors: Your brochure is due next week. What disability are you working on? Remember that you need visuals as well as information. Think about a brochure that you get at the dr.'s office, or a brochure to take a trip somewhere, it's very eye catching! You do not need to use a computer to complete this project.
So! I want you to respond to this blog with the topic you want to do, and 2 sentences (minimum) about the topic, and why you chose the topic.

  1. I think for my book I am going to make a book for Rebecca in Ms.Diehl's class.I think Im going to include a lot about music, because I know Becca loves music. I think I am going to talk to her and find out topics she is intrested in because I don't know all that much about her :). I think ill include music, foods she likes, poems about her and etc. I need to find out a little more about her before writing it!

  2. I think that i am going to do my brochure on, well I am not sure what it is called. Its a leaning disability where you are like super smart but you take longer on learning things and and on like doing homework. So that's what I am doing it on, that's about it.

  3. If it it is ok and there are no doubles I would love to write a book for Kiara. I would like to include pictures of fish and pictures of things she likes such as Sponge bob and such. I think that talking to Kiara and working with her a little more would refresh my memory about what she likes and what I could include in the book to make it one of her favorites!!!

My topic for my brochure is JRA or Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Juvenile means kid so this is what kids have if they have Rheumatoid Arthritis. It is a long term(chronic) disease and is the most common form of Arthritis in children. It results in the inflammation of your joints which can cause a lot of pain and ultimately lead to joint damage. I chose this topic because my Grandma has Arthritis but of course she's not a juvenile. I also chose it because I was thinking that I would be very sad if I had it. I'm a bowler so if I had arthritis(JRA) because it would be a lot harder for me to bowl. I'm going to start working on this brochure this weekend. I hope I do a good job.

  7. For my books, I'd like to write them for Molly Mullins. I need to talk to Molly more to find out what she really likes since I can't think of 5 things to write about. I might write about music, or animals, but write now, I'm not quite sure. So, thats about it.
