Week 1 Reflection: Answer all questions

1. Which classroom were you in this week? Ms. Diehl's or Ms. Kripton's?
2. What is something (anything) that you learned about peer tutoring this week?
3. What is something that you learned about a student (or all the students) this week?
4. Do you have any questions you didn't get to ask Ms. Diehl or Ms. Kripton yet?

1.) I was in both classrooms, but I think I was supposed to be in Ms. Kripton's more often.
2.) This week in peer tutoring, I learned that it can be veryyy overwhelming to be a special needs teacher. Not that I was overwhelmed myself, but other people seemed to be drained.
3.) In peer tutoring this week, I've learned that students can be really unique, each person has their own personality and way of dealing with things. Some are more shy and some make jokes more often. Diversity.
4.) I usually don't ask questions very often (I'm not a very questioning kind of kid, a little shy, infact) but I wonder what inspired people like Ms. Diehl and Ms. Kripton to choose this job. Was it from a life changing experience or did you just always know you wanted to? Sorry to get into personal business, but that would be my only sort of question.

  3. Sha'tiffany Wilkerson I think they choose the job because they are nice, respect teachers towards the students and they wanted the students to get better at things and that's why i think they choose this job

    1. This week, I was in Ms. Diehl's classroom.
    2. I learned that the students who are in the classroom are just the same as we are.
    3. Today, I learned that all of the students in this class are very welcoming. Today was my first day in this class, and all of them greeted me, and we very nice.
    4. The only question I am curious to have answered is, what inspired both Ms. Kripton and Ms. Diehl to become this kind of teacher? And would you ever choose any other job?

  6. 1. I have only been in this class for a day, but I was technically in Ms. Diehl's room this week.

    2. Today, I learned that Ms. Diehl does her writing prompts a little differently this year. Instead of writing one on the board, she uses a PowerPoint document with pictures and a morning message. I think this is a really cool way to do the morning message and it's probably very efficient.

    3. I also learned today that the students use a reading program called Lexia, on the computer. I know most of them worked with it a little over the summer, but other than that, I think it might be a little new to them. They all seem to be doing great with it though and I think most of them enjoy it. For some students, it may be easier to work on the computer instead of on paper. Computers can be very useful learning tools in a classroom.

    4. I don't have any questions for Ms. Diehl or Ms. Kripton, but I want to say that I'm super excited to be back in peer tutoring and that I'm really looking forward to this trimester.
